AYO Starring Voices of Glory in Branson MO

Voices of Glory is a group of siblings who are on a mission to change the world through their unique style of singing, tight harmonies, and inspirational message. Michael, Avery, and Nadia Cole started singing together in 2005 after their mother, Felicia, was in a car collision with a drunk driver, placing her in a coma. Day after day, the trio would serenade their mother by her bed, until 8 months later, Felicia came out of her coma. After this experience, the group began to travel to nursing homes and hospitals in an effort to bring hope to other patients and their families, and they adopted the name “Voices of Glory”.

In 2009, the group achieved national recognition when they made it to the Top 5 on the NBC hit show “America’s Got Talent”. After that, opportunities were plentiful. The group has appeared on all major television networks with special guest appearances on Fox News, the Jim Bakker Show, and the Bobby Jones Gospel Hour. They were personally selected by Mr. Andy Williams to be in his annual Christmas Show. They have been featured in People Magazine, Jet Magazine, MTV Chatroom, and USA Today. They have performed in venues all across America including the Grand Ole’ Opry Entertainment Complex, American Airlines Arena, Madison Square Garden, Music City USA Auditorium, and the Apollo Center. Additionally, they have been featured artists at an international concert in Germany and were requested to perform in the world renown "Drums of the World Festival" in South Africa.

After touring for several years, in 2012, the Voices of Glory found a home for their show, “AYO”, in Branson, MO, where the group has had phenomenal success, piling on accolades such as “Best Matinee Show” and “Young Female Entertainer of the Year Award” (Nadia) along with a slew of other nominations. Their time in Branson has allowed them to record multiple albums as well as author their autobiography, Higher Than Me. “We have been given a unique opportunity to deliver a message of hope through our music,” says oldest brother, Michael Cole, “and it is a challenge that we do not take lightly.” Voices of Glory is already an incredibly accomplished group of musicians, and this is only the beginning of the great things that will come from these talented, young siblings!

Based on his down-home variety program that draws over 1.6 million loyal viewers each month, the live stage show is careful to retain all of the country charm and wisdom of the televised version. Enjoy the entire cast from the hit series including Renae the waitress, The Sheriff, Keith Bilbrey, and everyone’s favorite gossipy busybody, the church-lady Nadine. If you are lucky, you can even eat right in the “diner” during the show!

Larry’s Country Diner also continues to provide an amazing array of guest artists for traditional country music fans. In fact, some of the biggest names from yesterday and today have dropped in at Larry’s, including Gene Watson, Bill Medley, The Texas Tenors, Rhonda Vincent, Jimmy Fortune, Dailey & Vincent, The Bellamy Brothers, Billy Dean, The Cleverlys, Moe Bandy, and more.

And if that wasn't as much fun as you can tack onto a wall, Larry’s Country Diner is 100% live and unscripted. The motto on the set is, “once the tape starts rolling, it does not stop. If you get yourself in trouble, get yourself out ‘cause we’re not stoppin’.” The fact that plates are dropped or broken during a performance, or that some of the lights go out while they are rolling makes the show all that more exciting. Because of its popularity, getting a seat to see a live taping might prove more difficult than getting a reservation at one of L.A.’s most trendy posh restaurants.

Since its initial airing in 2009, Larry’s Country Diner has produced over 100 episodes and has become one of the most popular shows on RFD television. The show is a product of Gabriel Communications, which is owned and operated by longtime disc jockey Larry Black.

Jimmy Fortune in Branson MO

The incomparable Jimmy Fortune, of the Statler Brothers fame, rounds out the list of artists you absolutely must see in the new BootDaddy Concert Series presented at the Starlite Theatre.

Jimmy’s breathtaking tenor voice paired with his uncanny ability to crank out a string of #1 hits makes him a force in the industry. Fortune spent 21 years with the Statler Brothers band, racking up enough awards to earn the title, “The Most Awarded Act in the History of Country Music.” Close to his faith and down to earth, Fortune is now pursuing his own career with several new albums and singles performed as part of a phenomenal new live show.

Jimmy Fortune joined The Statler Brothers first as a temporary replacement for Lew DeWitt, after DeWitt heard him singing at a ski resort and recommended him. Following an audition in Nashville, Jimmy was contacted by the famous band and performed his first show with them on January 28, 1982, in Savannah, Georgia. Due to the debilitating effects of Crohn’s Disease, Lew was unable to return to the stage with the Statlers, and Fortune was hired as a permanent replacement in August of 1982.

Fortune quickly lived up to his name. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” on their 1983 album Today, and followed that with two more No. 1 hits–“My Only Love” (from 1984’s Atlanta Blue) and “Too Much On My Heart” (from 1985’s Pardners in Rhyme). Fortune also wrote the top-10 hit “Forever” from 1986’s Four for the Show and co-wrote the top-10 hit “More Than a Name on the Wall” from 1988’s The Greatest Hits.

Jimmy Fortune has performed in all of the U.S. States, in Canadian Provinces, and in front of audiences as large as 100,000. He was part of the Statlers’ annual Happy Birthday USA celebration in Staunton, Virginia, for 14 years. He also sang on many of the Statlers’ gold, platinum, and double platinum recordings. Jimmy’s career included The Nashville Network’s popular “The Statler Brothers Show,” which aired for seven seasons and debuted in 1991 as the highest rated show for the network. He was also privileged to perform at the White House on two occasions, once for President Ronald Reagan, and once for President George H. W. Bush, and he presented a special gift to actress Elizabeth Taylor by singing his song “Elizabeth” to her for a birthday celebration.

Jimmy and The Statler Brothers were inducted into the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Hall of Fame on October 29, 2007, and inducted into the CMA (Country Music Association) Hall of Fame in June 29, 2008.

After the Statler Brothers retired on October 26, 2002, Fortune seized the opportunity to launch a solo career to share new music with his fans. His first solo CD, When One Door Closes, was released August 2003 on Audium/Koch. He released a gospel album, I Believe, in June 2005, a Christmas CD, Feels Like Christmas, in 2006, a live concert DVD in 2007, and another country CD, “Windows” in 2009. Jimmy is currently living in Nashville, writing for Melrose Entertainment, is a frequent guest on the hit RFD-TV show, “Larry’s Country Diner,” and continues to successfully tour the country throughout the year.
